Pecorino Romano (Italian pronunciation: [pekoˌriːno roˈmaːno]) 

 

Pecorino Romano is one of the most ancient types of cheese as well as the most famous cheese outside of Italy. It's a hard, salty Italian cheese, made of Sheep’s milk , often used for grating. Pecorino Romano was a staple in the diet for the legionaries of Ancient Rome.
